PC to Fax is Desktop Software that allows users to fax any Windows-compatible document right from their PC to any fax machine in the world -- over the Internet. And with PC to Fax 's FaxMerge feature, users can send personalised broadcast faxes quickly and easily.

Once the PC to Fax software is installed on the user's PC, it operates just like any standard Windows print driver. PC to Fax appears as a configured printer in the Printers folder, and is listed on the Printer menu.

Company-wide desktop faxing is now possible without adding hardware or changing your network.

PC faxing is easy with PC to Fax.
Open the document to be faxed and choose "File" and then "Print."
When the Printer Selection window appears, choose "FaxLauncher" as the printer. Input the recipient's fax number, or select from a range of numbers in your Address Book. Click "Send."

PC to Fax changes the document into a TIFF file right at your desktop and sends it with RSA-encryption over your e-mail server, SMTP gateway, or dial-up Internet connection. The document is sent over the Internet to our Network, where it is rendered into a fax document and delivered to the recipient. All text and formatting are preserved. Users receive an e-mail delivery confirmation for each message sent.

1. What is PC to Fax and how does it work?
PC to Fax is Windows-based software that enables you to fax any Windows-compatible document directly from your PC to any fax machine worldwide over our Network.

2. What software will be installed on my personal computer?
The PC to Fax software will automatically install a new print driver called "FaxLauncher." By selecting "FaxLauncher" as your print driver, your documents can be faxed right from your PC. The PC to Fax software also includes a component called the Control Center. The Control Center is a full-featured sending and querying tool that lets you manage all of your faxing real-time.

3. What are the system requirements for FaxLauncher?
Software:
Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP or NT 4.0 (not the Terminal Server Edition).
SMTP (Email) access
HTTP (Internet) access

4. How Do I Address Faxes?
1. Select "Print" from the main menu bar of whatever program you are using.
2. Select "FaxLauncher" as your printer. Click "OK."
3. Enter the fax number.
4. You can address your fax with digits only, or with dashes.

Make sure the number is in the form of country code + area/city code + number

Australia is "61"
New Zealand is "64"

When faxing to Sydney, Australia, address as follows:

or to Auckland, New Zealand

IMPORTANT: Do not use your country's international access code, such as "0011" or "00", as you might with an international phone call. Always begin the fax number with its country code.

5. Are Internet faxes as secure as faxes sent over telephone lines?
They are more secure when you use PC to Fax. Each fax sent via PC to Fax is RSA-encrypted and has surrounding network encryption making it truly secure. Faxes sent via telephony networks are not encrypted at all.

6. Can PC to Fax be used for broadcast faxing?
PC to Fax gives you two ways to send a fax to 1,000's of recipients. You can do this using the softwares:

7. Can I use account codes with PC to Fax?
The account code is activated using Options, then Preferences. Account codes can be up to 16 characters. PC to Fax 's Control Center lets you define how the codes are entered. For example, you can type in an account code, or select from a list of codes that you created.

8. How quickly will my fax be delivered?
As soon as your faxes reach our Network, PC to Fax will immediately send the fax message to the recipient.

9. Will my document maintain its current format and pagination after I send it?
Most of the time, the format and pagination remain the same. Occasionally, just as when you change printers, your document format and/or pagination settings may change. You can check for differences prior to sending your document via PC to Fax 's Control Center. Just select Document and View.



10. If another user wants to faxes from their PC, does the PC to Fax software need to be installed on that user's PC?
Yes, PC to Fax must be installed on each user's PC. Remember, for a set monthly fee you can nominate as many users as you wish.
